By the Affiliate’s Nominating Committee:
On behalf of the Affiliate we would like to notify the membership of our upcoming board vacancies for the following term:
Vice-President (3 year term, may be reelected for an additional 3 years)
Student Representative ( 2 year term, may not be reelected)
Nominating Committee ( 3 year term, may not be reelected)
Descriptions of these positions:
The Vice-President:
1. Perform the duties of the President in the absence or inability of the President to serve
2. Succeed to the office of the President should the office become vacant during an unfinished term
3. Coordinate arrangements and program components of Affiliate meetings
4. Perform duties delegated and designed by the President
Student Representative:
1. Ex-Officio member of the Board
2. Co-chair Student Liaison Committee
3. Perform duties delegated and designated by the President
Nominating Committee Member:
1. Assist other nominating Committee members to compose and prepare an annual ballot
2. Disseminate to voting membership no later than 60 days prior to the day of the meeting when election results are announced
Kindly consider volunteering for these important Representative positions in your Affiliate, bringing important and much-needed support to the families we serve and our membership begins on a local level, should you know of any Member or Midwifery Student interested, please share and encourage them to become involved. Lastly, thanks to each and every one of you who day and night make a phenomenal impact for Natural Birth.
